Comfort Bikes: These bikes have 26" diameter tires, that are wide with a smooth center section and a treaded side wall. This makes for easy rolling on concreate and stability on gravel. If you are going to be riding around town on city streets and might encounter some gravel, this is the bike for you. With a good sized seat, comfortable handlebar position, and 21 or 24 speeds, this bike is great for any age and ability. All models have seatpost shocks and most models have front shocks.

  • Recommended for rides between 0 and 20 miles per ride.

Hybrid Bikes: These bikes differ from the city bikes in that they have larger diameter wheels like a road bike. The models come with either 21, 24, or 27 speeds. Thetires are thinner and slightly treaded. You can also pump up these tires to a higher pressure so that they roll easier than the City Bikes. If you don't plan on riding on gravel or would like something lighter than the City Bikes we recommend a Hybrid. Some models come with shocks like the City Bikes. Some models are available in comfortable riding postions, and some come in more aggressive riding positions.

  • Recommended for rides between 5 to 40 miles per ride.

Mountain Bikes: The most rugged bike we carry, can handle almost any type of terrain. If you are looking for a bike that might take some abuse and you need treaded tires and a good shock, this bike is for you. With varying price levels you can get this bike with 21 up to 27 speeds.

  • For longer road rides, tires can be swapped to narrow, easy rolling, high pressure tires.
Road Bike Link

Road Bikes:For those of you who would like to go on Ragbrai or who like to ride on wide open County roads, this bike is for you. Again you can get this bike with 18 up to 30 speeds. The tires are much thinner allowing you to put more air pressure in them to ride as fast as you feel comfortable. Road bike are also available in a more comfortable riding position. Some of these models come with shock seatposts, and/or rear damping mechanisms. Trek has named these their "Pilot" series.

  • Recommended for rides between 10+ miles per ride.
